How do you manage your projects effectively?
Whatever you are managing, you will likely need a tool to aid you.
It could be a Trello board or a Kanban board.
The fact that there is so much to do is what will remain the same. There is a lot to remember.
There will be many deadlines to meet, multiple meetings and different tasks.
Ideas, dates, and notes for your diary.
There may be multiple long-term projects and smaller, one-off tasks.
Then there’s all that other stuff you have to do outside of work.
It can be overwhelming.
A simple notepad and pen could be the solution. This is a way to manage overwhelm and manage your project confidently and easily.

What is a bullet diary?
Ryder Carroll, the creator of the bullet journal system, describes his simple method for daily journaling as
“The mindfulness practice disguised to be a productivity system”
You can find a lot of beautiful and intricately decorated page layouts for bullet journals by doing a quick Google search. You can create to-do lists by using this method.
It consists of 4 components.
The Index
A Future Log
The Monthly Log
The Daily Log

These components combine elements from the essential project management tools, a task list and a notebook, into one.
Index
The Index page, which is located at the front of your journal acts as a table-of-contents, allowing you quickly and easily to find what you are looking for.
To manage multiple projects or complex projects, dedicated indexes can be made separately and made easily accessible.
Future Log
A Future Log is a planner that provides a quick view of the future for 6 months or more. This is a great tool for long-term projects because you can add important dates, deadlines, or events. Here are important things.
You can add any new projects to this list, along with any important dates, as you move closer to starting them. This will help you plan and ensure that nothing gets lost. It also helps you remember to make long-term commitments.
Monthly Log
This serves as both a calendar, and a task list for each month. The Monthly Log allows you to keep track what’s up in the next few weeks.
It’s spread across 2 pages and makes it easy for you to see which areas are busier and which areas have more time. This is a great tool for managing multiple projects. You can find out more about it here.
Although the monthly spread is new to me, I use an identical view in Outlook. While digital tools are not the best for bullet journaling, they can be useful if you don’t have the time to look away from your screen.
Daily Log
The Daily Log is a daily log that details specific tasks, events, or notes. Each item is marked with a set symbols that make it easy to distinguish between what you need and what you want to remember.
Your next actions should be based on the things you have to do. This section can be thought of as your To-Do List for one day. Tomorrow you’ll find a new page, and a Daily Log.
It’s not a daily schedule the same as your calendar, although you could use it that way. It’s more like a moratorium.
